How does QR code ordering work?
Guests scan the QR code at their table and order from their own phone. Four modes are supported, including self pickup (delivery mode requires the Premium add-on). Choose permanent table QR codes or new ones for every visit. Orders go straight to the kitchen screen and kitchen tickets print automatically.
Is a "scan-to-order" system different from a "QR code ordering" system?
They're the same system. Guests scan the QR code at their table and order from their own phone, orders go straight to the kitchen screen and kitchen tickets print automatically, all on the same data as Scanfood's front-of-house POS.
How much does QR ordering cost?
Dine-in ordering, self pickup and QR menu viewing are included in every main package: S (0–20 tables) 4,200 baht/year, about 11 baht a day · M (21–50 tables) 7,200 baht/year, about 20 baht a day · L (51–100 tables) 9,600 baht/year, about 26 baht a day. Prices exclude 7% VAT · Delivery mode requires the Premium add-on, +3,000 baht/year.
Do I need to print new QR codes every day?
No. Choose permanent table QR codes or QR codes that change every visit. Create a zone once and all its tables come with QR codes, then print every table's QR code as a single PDF.
Can foreign guests order?
Yes. Guests can choose Thai, English or Chinese, and menu names are translated automatically. For a choice of 135 languages, add the menu translation add-on: +2,400 / 4,800 / 7,200 baht/year for packages S / M / L.
Can guests pay on their phone and have the bill close automatically?
Yes. Connect a payment gateway and the bill closes automatically once the guest pays. A PromptPay QR code appears at checkout, or guests can transfer and upload their own payment slip for the restaurant to check and approve.
Can guests call staff from their table?
Yes. Guests can call staff or ask for water or a spoon right from the table, and the restaurant can set its own request topics. Prevent prank orders by requiring tables to be opened before ordering, or by blocking phones that cause trouble.
